Director of Ticket Sales and Promotions - Lowell Spinners (Lowell, MA)

Position Summary

The Director of Ticket Sales & Promotions will lead development and execution of strategies to aggressively grow the Lowell Spinners ticket sales revenues and promotions. The position requires salesmanship, season ticket sales focus, management experience and "hands on" operational ability. This role will work collaboratively with all members of the Lowell Spinners organization.

Required Experience 

2-4 years of relevant experience pertaining to the responsibilites listed below.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy and lead execution of all ticket sales and ticket sales staffing to grow the organization’s ticket sales revenues.
  • Develop ticket sales business plans, P&Ls, sales materials, work-plans, and overall growth for season ticket, mini-plans, group sales, catered events, etc.
  • Lead and participate in coordinated efforts to achieve desired ticket revenue results through detailed management of the ticket staff/operation by establishing accountability of each team member through call volume, and sales contests. Category focus is a must!
  • Manage all aspects of the day-to-day customer servicing of the ticket department including, but not limited to, box office management, online sales, contracted sales (season, mini-plans, catered events, & group tickets), processing, staffing, etc.
  • Track, analyze, and interpret all customer and consumption data, combined with outside market intelligence and trends, to identify best practices, key trends in purchase behavior, marketplace opportunities, and recommended sales & marketing tactics.
  • Responsible for management and training of all ticket sales staff.
  • Work closely with the relevant staff to ensure all ticket sales goals are met.
  • Help develop creative and attendance driven promotions to increase ticket sales.
  • Work with the General Manager to create marketing strategies to promote ticket sales initiatives.
  • Responsible for the development, ordering, and execution of all game day promotional giveaway items.
  • Responsible for prospecting and managing additional revenue generating events to be held at LeLacheur Park (i.e. beer festivals, concerts, boxing, etc).
  • Manage the detailed planning, P&L, coordination, and activation of all game day promotions and "Spinnertainment".
  • Manage all relevant promotional staff members.
  • All other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Experienced in developing and executing aggressive and entrepreneurial business development and ticketing platforms
  • Bias towards ticket revenue growth and embrace active participation in the sales process ?
  • Budget, P&L development, financial projection, and management experience
  • Outstanding communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Excellent relationship builder

Account Executive - Tri-City ValleyCats (Troy, NY)

Requirements: This position requires an organized, detail-oriented and personable applicant who wants to work with a first class Minor League baseball organization in hosting 38 home games and a variety of special events. The candidate should be a hardworking, team-player who is seeking an opportunity for growth within the baseball industry. The Account Executive will be tasked with developing both existing and new clients through cold calls, networking, referrals, renewals and social media campaigns. The applicant will be responsible for achieving an annual sales goal, designing and executing group themes & sponsorships while also ensuring a high level customer satisfaction at the ballpark.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell new full or partial season ticket plans, group tickets, picnics and luxury suite rentals. This includes a secondary focus on corporate partnerships and sponsorship sales.
  • Major-daily focus on driving ticket sales through 50 to 80 outbound phone calls, face-to-face appointments, and networking with local businesses and community organizations.
  • Work games and special events as scheduled
  • Represent the organization at in-house ballpark events and off-site community events promoting group ticketing and other sales opportunities as scheduled.
  • Generate qualified sales leads & maximize ticket sales opportunities from existing leads.
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospects, current clients, and general fans over the phone and at games. Assist customer service efforts (mailing invoices, tickets, etc) as needed.
  • Maintain customer record database with updated information on all ticket customers & prospects.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales goals.
  • Additional tasks pertaining to these or other organizational goals as assigned by management.
