Manager, Promotional Partnerships & Fulfillment - Lowell Spinners (Lowell, MA)

Position Summary

The Manager of Promotional Partnerships & Fulfillment will assist in promotional efforts and in the development of unique and engaging platforms to help the organization develop and maintain critical media relationships in the Greater Boston Market. This role will also work with the Marketing Partnerships team and Game Entertainment team to ensure that all elements of sponsored content are accurately fulfilled and executive. Group ticket sales responsibilities are also expected. The position requires a blend of industry trends/knowledge, the ability to work independently, prospecting key initiatives and personnel, salesmanship, attention to detail, and "hands on" operational ability. This role will work collaboratively with all members of the Lowell Spinners organization.

Required Experience 

2-3 years of relevant experience pertaining to the responsibilites listed below.

Major Responsibilities

Promotional Partnerships

  • Help lead the development and execution of strategies to aggressively grow the Lowell Spinners overall marketing exposure by developing promotional nights and key relationships designed to increase attendance and ticket sales.
  • Key areas of focus must include identifying trends, best practices, use of celebrities, entertainment acts, giveaway items, theme nights, etc. the organization should implement in order to increase attendance.
  • Develop critical relationships with the promotional departments of print, radio, television, and digital media sources in the Greater Boston Area so the organization can amplify their promotional or socially responsible causes while creating marketing exposure for the team.
  • Ability to negotiate promotional relationships with a very modest budget.

Marketing Partnership Fulfillment

  • Work with the Marketing Partnerships team to make certain that all contracted elements of sponsorship agreements are fulfilled on time and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with sponsors at least 10 days prior to their scheduled event to ensure their engagement and attendance for ceremonial pitches, suites, concourse tabling, handing out giveaway items, catered events, etc.
  • Work with applicable Spinners staff to make certain that all assets are deployed for sponsored events and that necessary photos are taken of key participants/assets/happenings.
  • Work with sponsors on site during their event to host them throughout the event, ensure satisfaction, solve problems, etc.
  • Follow up with each sponsor after their event to gather feedback, ensure satisfaction, and begin the next steps towards proof of performance packages and the renewal process.

Group Sales

  • Participate in coordinated efforts to achieve desired ticket revenue results through dedicated focus on group sales categories, tactics, call volume, sales contests, etc.
  • Actively own the sales process and execution for designated categories (TBD).
  • Work closely with the relevant staff to ensure all ticket sales goals are met.
  • Identify, categorize and approach businesses for group nights at the ballpark.
  • Emphasize customer service, sponsor fulfillment and sponsor and fan satisfaction.
  • Provide our corporate partners, group ticket attendees and fans with great value for each purchase made, and a fun, affordable, family-friendly environment for each game.
  • Help maintain group sales inventory.
  • Report sales and goals on a weekly basis.

In Addition

  • Assist with general/routine facility maintenance upkeep and repairs including but not limited to, minor repairs, painting, general cleaning, preparing for the season and off-season, moving objects, etc.
  • Helping move tables/chairs for event needs.
  • Helping prepare the concourse for event needs.
  • Do everything possible to ensure all groups attending Spinners’ games have a great time.
  • Maintain a friendly, positive attitude in the office and at each game.
  • Lead by example, with no job being too small, by demonstrating professionalism in dress, business etiquette, and detail while interacting with Spinners’ guests, staff, and vendors.
  • All other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
